6. TRUTH WHICH BELONGS TO ONE PART OF THE FUTURE
MUST NOT BE READ INTO ANOTHER PART OF THE FUTURE.
There are certain things that, yet, lie in the
future which pertain to the end of this present dispensation, and they must not
be confused with that which is, yet, future but belongs to the time of another
dispensation.
The fifth great principle to observe in Bible
study as we continue to follow the precept to RIGHTLY DIVIDE THE WORD OF TRUTH
is:
1. TRUTH THAT BELONGS TO A FUTURE DISPENSATION MUST NOT BE READ INTO
THE PRESENT
The third rule for “rightly dividing” the Word
of Truth now comes before us:
3. TRUTH THAT
BELONGS TO THE PRESENT MUST NOT BE READ INTO THE PAST
This chapter continues
our consideration of Rule 2, according to “How To Enjoy The Bible.” The “New
Covenant” being our next example.
In this chapter the Lord’s Prayer, the
Priesthood, Baptism, and the prophecy of Amos will be examined.
