Part I
Before the beginning of Creation, there was nothing. God created Heaven and EARTH—this was the beginning of Creation. There were no planets, stars, galaxies, or constellations. It was impossible for those things to exist. Before the beginning of The Creation, there was no Heaven for them to adorn.
Many who profess to be intellectuals discuss why God chose the Planet Earth for Him to focus His attention upon. Dr. Mike Savage, a national Talk-Show host, the other day, questioned why God chose the insignificant Planet Earth to focus His interest upon. Dr. Savage asked, “Of all of the planets, why did God select the planet earth?” What foolishness to even consider such a non-issue. How ill-considered. There were no planets for Him to choose from. After its creation, God fashioned Planet Earth, just like He wanted it to be, on the Third Day of Creation. Before Earth was created, there were no heavenly bodies. This closes the door on such idiotic speculations on why He chose Earth when He could have chosen Pluto, Jupiter, or Mars. He made Earth to be just what He wanted it to be.
God made Heaven and Earth the First Day of Creation. The Second Day, the firmament was called Heaven. The Third Day, dry Land appeared, and it was called Earth. The stellar Heavens were created on the Fourth Day of the beginning of Creation. (Dr. Savage, please note that God chose the Earth on Day One). The Fifth Day of Creation, water filled the seas, great whales and fish, and fowl were created. On the Sixth Day, God made the beasts of the earth after his kind. Every living creature was made after his kind. Cattle and creeping things were made. Dinosaurs were created on the Sixth Day of Creation, as were Adam and Eve. Man and woman shared God’s creation with the great dinosaurs and other spectacular creatures before the flood.
The Smithsonian Museum of Natural History says that an Asteroid impact, 65 million years ago, resulted in the dinosaurs dying out with more than 50% of all other life forms. The words of the Lord Jesus Christ correct such a gross error when He said:
“But FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE CREATION God made them male and female” (Mark 10:6).
This statement of fact, spoken by Christ, sets the record in stone—The “Beginning” started with Day One of the Creation and ended with Day Six of the Creation—“Thus the HEAVENS and the EARTH WERE FINISHED, AND ALL OF THE HOST OF THEM” (Genesis 2:1). Therefore, there could have been no crea
tion of “man” before Adam. The Lord Jesus said, “and God made them male and female”—therefore, NO EVOLUTION!
“From the Beginning of The Creation” means there was no Pre-Adamic man, nor was there any Pre-Adamic Dinosaurs, Flying Reptiles, or other exotic creatures. But, Day Six and afterwards, Adam was the master of these creatures for the 930 years he lived after he was created.
On Day Seven, the LORD ENDED HIS WORK (Genesis 2:2).
Evolutionists, educators, archeologists, scientists, men of the church, as well as most all Christians are firmly convinced that dinosaurs were created and lived millions of years before mankind.
The Creation was a progressive orchestration where God, by His special, immediate, direct ability, created light, beauty, and life out of nothing. As the first five days of creation are read, you become aware that The Creation’s progression is leading up to the Grand Finale—the creation of the first Human Being--Who God named ADAM.
The first man, Adam, was the CROWNING ACCOMPLISHMENT of God’s
Creation!
THE ORIGINAL MAN WAS SUPERIOR
God created Adam fully mature and 100% completely operational. Adam probably had the appearance of a man approaching the age of 30 to 33. While he was fully mature, fluent in speech and possessed superior intelligence, he was only minutes old. Time began for Adam the moment God breathed into his nostrils, the “breath of life,” and “he became a living soul.” The moment Adam became a living soul and breathed his first breath, he had a complete understanding of his environment and Who his Creator was.
Adam did not have to learn to talk or to conjugate verbs. There was no Past Tense in Adam’s immediate life. He did not need a dictionary to learn the meaning of words. His vocabulary was stored in what is called a “Mental Lexicon” which is the brain’s language facility. The LORD loaded-up Adam’s “Mental Lexicon” with a superb vocabulary.
Adam was in the prime of his life, even though he was only minutes old.
Adam was full-grown.
Adam was completely developed.
Adam was knowledgeable about things he had never experienced.
Adam was exceedingly articulate, having never spoken a word.
The only thing Adam was lacking was a navel. The woman God made for him was, also, minus a navel.
Time began for Adam the very moment God breathed into his nostrils the Breath of Life. He had no age until that moment, yet, he was fully mature. Adam was completely aware of his surroundings and his environment the moment he opened his eyes. He did not follow a learning curve. He did not have to learn by experience.
The startling fact was that the Universe reflected the same experience. There was no age in the Universe until its creation—while The Creation was new, it was created mature as was the original man. The key to understanding Creation is to realize that Mark 10:6 is the solution to the timing of The Creation—FROM THE BEGINNING OF CREATION is the measuring yardstick for time. Time began with the beginning of The Creation in Genesis 1:1.
Adam was the crowning accomplishment of all of God’s Creation! From the beginning of Creation, it was all predicated upon it being a magnificent environment for the first man. Bible believers know that Adam was not a brute beast, as Evolutionists do. Adam’s brain was the most complex and sophisticated organ in the human body. To this very day, it’s believed that man’s brain is still a marvelous organ.
“So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them” (Genesis 1:27).
On the Sixth Day, after God “saw every thing He made, and, behold, it [all of creation] was VERY GOOD” (Genesis 1:31).
ADAM—A PERFECT SPECIMEN OF MAN
God, speaking to Himself, said that it was not good for man to be alone, so He decided to make Adam a “help meet.” But before the making of a “help meet,” the LORD gave Adam his first assignment. God brought to Adam every living creature and told him to name them everyone, which he did.
“And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him. (Genesis 2:19-20).
Adam was, probably, very tired after the exhaustive naming of all of God’s creatures. So, the LORD caused Adam to fall into a deep sleep and he slept; “… and He [LORD] took one of [Adam’s] ribs and closed up the place with flesh. Then the LORD made a woman from the rib He had taken out of the man, and He brought her unto the man” (this is a paraphrase of Genesis 2:21-22).
These words, spoken by Adam, were not the words of erudition. Erudition is knowledge acquired by reading, or study, or research. Adam’s one look at the Woman, and words flowed freely from his Mental Lexicon. His words were likened to those of men with a learned tongue in future generations.
The words Adam used to express himself were refined, highly developed and were words of intellectuals. “This [Woman] is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man” (Genesis 2:23). Ah, the words of a learned tongue, and he was less than a day old!
Adam showed extraordinary insight that the LORD gave him in his next pronouncement. “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh” (Genesis 2:24).
Amazing! Not ever having had one, Adam spoke of a father and mother as if he were to leave his parents and cleave to his wife, Eve. Likewise, Adam had knowledge that when he “knew” Eve, they would become “one flesh.” We cannot emphasize, enough, that the original man was not a brute beast. Adam was extremely intelligent and could not have been the product of evolution. He had to have been created in order to meet the facts the Bible said about him. On top of this, Adam was made in the “image of God.”
Some religions teach that men (of their religion), through good works, can become gods. Some will become gods in this life, others in the world to come. I have a one-word comment about this hoax—BALONEY!
Genesis 2:25; “And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.”
In summary, Adam was knowledgeable about things he had never experienced; he was fully mature and completely operational when the Breath of Life was breathed into his nostrils. He was created full-grown, and exceedingly articulate, having never spoken a word. He was created fully mature.
The Beginning of The Creation began in Genesis 1:1. There was no interruption in the Six Days of The Creation. There was no gap, as the Gap Theorists proclaim, in The Creation. The Creation ended on the Sixth Day:
“And on the Seventh day God ended His work which He had made; and He rested on the Seventh day from all His work which He had made” (Genesis 2:2).

PART II
“But from the Beginning of The Creation God made them male and female” (Mark 10:6)
These words of our Lord Jesus Christ could not be any clearer than that The Creation of the universe is not sixteen-and- a-half-billion years old. By the same token, the EARTH is not four-and-a-half billion years old. These are the pronouncements of evolutionists who have captured the so-called science of anthropologists and paleontologists. They had been stumped for generations because of Biblical Doctrines of Creation. “Science-falsely so-called” (1 Timothy 6:20), regarding the evolution of the species, subverted the Christian Doctrine of God having created a mature universe.
Charles Darwin published his book, “On the Origin of the Species,” in November of 1859. Its name was later changed to “The Origin of the Species.” Christian scholars scrambled around and came up with a way to answer Darwin’s assertion of a universe being billions of years old. The Christian Gatekeepers, who profess to be scholars, invented the “Gap Theory.” Much of Christendom has embraced this hoax as their answer to evolution. The Gap Theory incorporates a Pre-Adamic judgment of a creation in Genesis 1:1. The imagined judgment left a ruined creation—“And the earth was without form, and void [empty]: and darkness covered the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters” (Genesis 1:2).
Our purpose, here, is not to involve ourselves with the Gap issue. As far as this author is concerned, we laid it to rest in our seventeen page, Four Part Study written in April 2006, named—THE GAP THEORY. Here is the last paragraph of Part III which gives some insight into this Theory:
“Our conclusion is that God made a declarative statement in Genesis 1:1—which was; “in the beginning” He created heaven and earth. Then, what follows in Genesis 1:2-31 is a definitive account of the Creative Works God performed during the time-frame of ‘in the beginning.’ The ‘beginning’ covered the Six Days and ended on the Seventh Day when God ended His Creative Activities and rested.”
LENGTH OF LIFE BEFORE THE FLOOD
One of the outstanding characteristics of the Pre-Flood world was man’s length of life.
ADAM lived 930 years, “and he died” (Genesis 5:5).
SETH lived 912 years, “and he died” (Genesis 5:8).
ENOS (Enosh) lived 905 years, “and he died” (Genesis 5:11).
CAINAN (Kenan) lived 910 years, “and he died” (Genesis 5:14).
MAHALALEEL lived 895 years, “and he died” (Genesis 5:17).
JARED lived 962 years, “and he died” (Genesis 5:20).
ENOCH lived 365 years, “for God took him” [ i ].
METHUSELAH lived 969 years, “and he died” (Genesis 5:27).
LAMECH lived 777 years, “and he died” (Genesis 5:31).
NOAH lived 600 years before the Flood (Genesis 7:6), and 350 years after the Flood (Genesis 9:29).
SHEM entered the Ark at age 100, and he lived for 502 years after the Flood.
Listed above are the first Eleven Generations of mankind. These Eleven Generations cover the time between Adam’s creation and the Universal Flood. In 1988, the eyes of my understanding were enlightened to the Truth of the Pre-Millennial Day of Christ. I am always obliged to point out where the Glorious “Day of Christ” stands in relationship to whatever the current study might be. The more we can learn about the Pre-Flood environment and the unique features associated with the original Creation, the greater insight we will have concerning what the new heavens and earth will be like when they are restored to their original glory. The re-creation, “the restitution of all things,” was the subject of Acts 3:21. This restoration was that “which God hath spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.” In the Apostle Paul’s phraseology, the time spoken about was the “Day of Christ.” The Lord Jesus Christ referred to it as “My Day” in John 8:56.
IN SIX DAYS GOD CREATED A PERFECT ENVIRONMENT
“And God saw every thing that He had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them” (Genesis 1:31-2:1.).
God saw everything He made, and He said, “Behold, it was VERY GOOD.”
The environment the LORD created in the Six Days of the Creation has never been matched. The “Greens” (the Environmentalists), by their wildest imaginations, could not even come close to advocating the Perfect Environment that existed prior to the Flood. The Perfect Environment could only have been Created by Yahweh, i.e., Jesus.
SIX PRE-FLOOD CONDITIONS THAT CONTRIBUTED TO LONG LIFE
1. Perfect Creation of the First Man.
2. Perfect Food Supply.
3. Perfect Health of all Creatures.
4. Perfect Protection of Earth from Natural Disasters.
5. Perfect Protection from Sun’s Harmful Rays.
6. Perfect Climate—No Extremes
1. PERFECT CREATION OF THE FIRST MAN
The Perfect Man was a magnificent creation, totally flawless. The fact that Adam was a perfectly created human being certainly was a contributing factor to his long life (930 years). Adam was made in the image of God, as was his perfect help meet—Eve. She, also, played an important part in the Beginning of The Creation. She was taken from Adam—a rib, and was created as a perfect match for Adam. The Creation of the first man and first woman were created in the image of God.
“So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them” (Genesis 1:27).
Adam was the direct creation of God, being a God-product of the earth, while Eve, also, was a direct creation of God, but she was a God-product from Adam. Some Bible teachers believe that both Adam and Eve were created in the image of God based upon their understanding of Genesis 1:27. We are told Adam lived 930 years. We are not told how long Eve lived. But, if their children were only Cain, Abel, and Seth, they did not do a very good job of fulfilling the Divine commandment of filling the earth with their kind.
“And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish [#4390 = male’ i.e., fill] the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” (Genesis 1:28).
After Cain and Abel, the next child Adam had is recorded in the Bible as “Seth.” Genesis 5:3 said Adam lived a hundred and thirty years and begot a son. Notice, “in his (Adam) own likeness, after his (Adam) image…” This clearly indicates that mankind is not created in the Image of God. We, and all of mankind, have borne the image of the fallen first man—Adam. First Corinthians 15:49 confirms this:
“And as we have borne the image of the earthy [Adam], we shall also bear the image of the heavenly [Christ].”
The days of Adam, after Seth was born, were eight-hundred years, “and [Adam] begat sons and daughters” (Genesis 5:4). Adam procreated, perhaps, up until his death. He just didn’t get feeble and have a lingering sickness that led to his death. The Pre-Flood Period was without infirmities such as sickness, disease, and plagues.
In my research, I read that Adam and Eve had 56 children, 33 sons and 23 daughters. The author of this study said, “Josephus reported this in ‘“Book I, Chapter 2, and Paragraph 2.’” I have four Volumes of “The Works of Josephus.” But, in my cursory search, I was unable to find this reference. I don’t doubt that Josephus said it, but I was unable to find it in my volumes.
NOAH WAS BLEMISHLESS
“These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God” (Genesis 6:9).
Noah was not morally perfect. He and his family tree were perfect. The Hebrew word for “perfect” was trimim which meant “without blemish.” But, Satan was at work from the very Beginning of the Creation, tempting Eve and directing angelic activity to contaminate the “seed of the woman.” The “blemish,” here, referred to the fact that no one in Noah’s family history had been corrupted with the blood-line of the Nephilim (the Giants). The Nephilim were hybrids, that is to say, part human and part angel. Only eight people (Noah and his family), out of all the earth’s population, were not contaminated with the hybrids. These hybrids were not God’s Creation.
The “sons of God” saw the daughters of men—that they were fair and chose to step through the veil of the spirit and into the physical world of flesh and blood. Upon doing so, they became flesh and blood creatures who left the first estate (Jude 6). God had warned them that if they left their first estate, they would “die like men” (Psalm 82:7).
“And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence through them [the hybrids]; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth” (Genesis 6:12-13).
Every family in the antediluvian era was tainted with the blood of the fallen angels (“sons of God” in Genesis 6) who left their first estate and took the fair women of the human race. Only Noah’s family, who were not blemished with the flaw of being part angel, was to be spared from the deluge to come. What follows are quotations from Plainer Words Online …Sons of God In Genesis 6, dated February 3, 2010.
[Quote] Somehow, the angels had the ability to step into the realm of the material and physical, and cohabitate with women. As a result of this cohabitation, an offspring of “giants” was produced (Gen. 6:4). The progeny were “mighty men of old, men of renown.” These were super-human giants. Very probably, they were the “gods” of Greek and Roman mythology. They had super-human strength, and their nature was corrupt to the point that the “imagination of the thoughts of his hearts was only evil continually … The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence (Gen. 6:5, 11). This was “the Days of Noah.” This eruption of fallen angels was Satan’s attempt to prevent the coming of the Seed [Christ] of the woman [Eve] as predicted in Genesis 3:15.
[Quote] The seed of the fallen angels began to be mingled with that of man. This was Satan’s attempt to frustrate God’s Word regarding the coming Seed of the woman. If Satan could get the human race thoroughly contaminated, then, God’s Word could not be fulfilled regarding Satan’s doom.
[Quote] By the time Noah showed up and began preaching, we learn that he was the only one left on earth with a pure pedigree; “Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, [i.e., his pedigree was without blemish]” (Gen. 6:9). Additionally, we are informed that:
“And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth” (Gen. 6:12).
[Quote] All human flesh had been corrupted with the intermingling of seed of the fallen angels (“sons of God”) with that of the “daughters of men.” Every household of man was corrupted except the household of Noah. Because of this corruption, the LORD repented that He made man, and it grieved Him in His Heart (Gen. 6:6). Therefore, He told Noah to build an ark for the saving of his house. This, Noah did. And the day Noah and his family entered the ark, the FLOOD came. “All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died” (Gen.7:22). Noah and his family were preserved. Thus, the coming Seed of the woman was protected. [End Quotes]
Adam was the perfect example of mankind. God did not have to keep tinkering with Adam in order to “get him right.”

PART III
The previous study, Part II, showed that there were Six reasons which contributed to the long life of man. The 1st contributing factor was that the Creation of the first man was a perfect creation—Adam was the perfect specimen of man. This study is a continuation of the first factor which was the:
1. Perfect Creation of the First Man (continued)
The chief factor that contributed to Adam’s long life of 930 years was the fact that he was the perfect creation. He was forbidden to eat the fruit of the Tree of Life. But, he yielded to the temptation offered by his wife, and he did eat the forbidden fruit. This was disobedience. This was sin. It should not be overlooked that the first two human beings were exceedingly handsome, having an attractive and well-proportioned shape. I would suggest that Adam was the most handsome man to ever walk this earth. The beauty of Eve was, probably, never equaled.
Sin entered into the world and “death by sin, and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned” (Romans 5:12). In plainer words, death rode in on the back of sin.
Again, the emphasis is—Adam was made in the image of God.
“So God created man [Adam] in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them” (Genesis 1:27).
After sin came into the world, the sons of Adam bore the image of their father—Adam. Only Adam bore the image of God. By partaking of the forbidden fruit, Adam forfeited his Divine image. All of Adam’s sons, after Cain and Abel, were born in his image; not in God’s image. Eve, having believed Satan’s lie, caused her to pay a heavy price for her disobedience. The price Eve paid for eating of the forbidden fruit resulted in her and all of her daughters bearing the following burdens:
“Unto the woman He said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee” (Genesis 3:16).
If I were to put this Verse (Genesis 3:16) in Plainer Words, I’d paraphrase the NIV:
To the woman, God said, “I will greatly increase your pains [hard-labor] in childbearing;
with pain you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband’s affection, and he will rule over you.”
The Bible records the birth of Adam and Eve’s first two sons, Cain and Abel, in Genesis 4:1-2:
“And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth: And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters: And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died” (Genesis 5:3-5).
We have said, several times, that Adam was the perfect specimen of man. He passed this on. However, he passed it on through Seth, and Seth, to his sons, and they passed on what they had to their sons, and so on. The “sons and daughters” Adam begat after Seth, also, lost the high quality of the previous generation. The perfection with each succeeding generation was diminished to a certain degree.
Each generation, following Adam and Eve, lost a bit of the original quality their parents possessed. I would describe the human descent as what happens when a Master Tape Recording of a musical arrangement is copied, the second generation soundtrack lost a little of the Master’s quality. When the second generation soundtrack is copied to a third generation, more quality is lost. Then, when a fourth generation tape was copied from the third generation, its quality is significantly lower than the original. This goes on until the quality is so bad that the soundtrack has been grossly debased and distorted.
So, if God created man in His Own Image in the year 4,004 B.C. (according to Ussher), there were 22 generations from Adam to Jacob. That would equal 22 steps of descent from the original Master (Adam). Or, said another way, that would equal 22 steps of descendants down from the Master Human (Adam).
“Fausset’s Bible Dictionary” stated that a generation from Adam to Jacob, he reckoned as being 100 years. Fausset reckoned a generation after Jacob to be between 30 and 40 years. If we figure about 3,800 years from Jacob to our time in 2014, at 40 years per generation, that would be 95 generations. Then a total from Adam to us would be 22 + 95 = 117 generations (the point is not what is the exact number of generations, but rather, there’s a lot of generations between Adam and you and me). The whole point is that the human race has degraded by 117 stages below the level of Adam’s stature as a perfect creation.
2. Perfect Food Supply
Today, we hear it said if that is true, what about the case of Adam? He had a perfect quality in the supply of his food. Man had a perfect food supply. Prior to the Deluge, man was a vegetarian. God created trees in all stages of development. Some were created fully mature trees with fruit, or nuts in full bloom. These were all over the earth from the North and South Poles to both hemispheres.
The earth’s climate was moderate from Pole to Pole. The earth was watered by heavy dew every morning. The climate had growing seasons the year-around. The growing season during the Pre-Millennial Kingdom of God will be as it was before the Flood.
“Behold, the days come [in the Day of Christ], saith the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt” (Amos 9:13).
There were no weather extremes in the Days before The Flood. No storms. No droughts. No snow. No lightning. No floods. No clouds. No earthquakes. No plagues. The earth was fertile. Crops were created ready for harvest. They were in all stages of growth. They had to be tended year-around. Weeds were everywhere. Thorns and thickets were in abundance as part of the Curse.
The ground needed to be tilled, thorns and thistles needed to be pulled and dug-up. Live-stock needed to grazed and looked after. The curse for man was he had to work by the sweat of his brow.
“Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return” (Genesis 3:18-19).
3. Perfect Health Of All Creatures
All of God’s Creatures enjoyed perfect health. None of His Creatures got sick and died. They grew old and died. The age of being “old” was based on God’s standards in His newly created world.
.The world of humans was peaceful. Mankind respected one another until the Days of Noah began. The beginning of the Days of Noah began when “the sons of God” started to take to themselves the “daughters of men” to wife. The “sons of God” (the fallen angels) and the human females had offspring who were giants. They became mighty men, men of renown. The giants (hybrids), called Nephilims, produced wickedness. And, violence filled the earth. All flesh was corrupted (including animals that became wild and carnivorous). The explosion of giants in the earth brought into their lifestyle the eating of animal flesh.
God told Noah to build an ark and instructed him how to do so. A work of major engineering and architecture. Amazingly, Noah had the capacity to construct such a project. Man was very intelligent. He had not ever been in the family of apes!
4. Perfect Protection Of Earth From Nature’s Disasters
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made” (John 1:1-3).
In God’s Creation of the Universe, everything that was made (created) was made by Him (the Word, to wit, the Lord Jesus Christ), and without Him, NOT ANY THING was made. This was all made (created) within the Six Days of Creation. These Six Days were six-24-hour-days. Don’t think, for one minute, that any of these days were a thousand-year-day, or million-year-day. Everything made, that was made, was made by Him.
The whole earth was verdant with grasses, edible grains, vegetables, bushes, vines, fruit trees, nut bearing trees, shade trees, various fur trees, and other growing plants. Some trees and plants were created and placed into the ground full-grown and bearing seed and fruit upon the day of Creation. This was the creation of all forms of botanical life forms, full bloomed, with seeds within the life form.
Some animals were made very tall, or with extremely long necks in order to pluck fruits from high branches. According to many Six Day Creationists, they believe that God created a Canopy [raqiya] that was approximately eleven miles above the surface of the earth. The Canopy turned out to be the “Firmament” [the raqiya]. The Hebrew word for “Firmament” was RAQIYA (OT #7549). The Hebrews viewed the sky as the vault of heaven which supported waters above, also; they viewed the RAQIYA as solid and supported [frozen] `waters' above the earth. “And God made the [raqiya], and divided the waters which were under the from the waters which were above the : and it was so” (Genesis 1:7).
It encircled, or encased the earth. The space between the earth’s surface and the lower side of the Canopy was called “Heaven.” Within the confines of the Canopy’s bubble was the earth, and the Hosts [angelic creatures] of the heaven. Some of these hosts of the heaven left their home area, desiring to take as wives, the daughters of men They invaded mankind’s domain”─ the earth ─ and took for themselves all the daughters of men they chose. The earth became a cesspool of sin. As it has been said, their offspring were called Nephilims, or giants. They were great in size and wickedness.
The Canopy was estimated to be about eleven miles above the earth. There is a heat sink at that elevation above the earth. The temperature is between –130 and –180 degrees Fahrenheit. That is to say, 98 to 148 degrees below Zero. The Canopy was frozen water. Meaning, of course, the Canopy was solid ice. It was in crystalline form—pure, transparent, relatively thin ice. It was, probably, no more than twenty feet thick.
5. Perfect Protection From The Sun’s Harmful Rays
Under the Canopy, there were no clouds, and rain did not fall. Therefore, there were no such things as earthquakes, floods, mudslides, lightning, electrical storms, snow, ice storms, frozen rivers, droughts, famines, plagues, or other types of Natural Disasters. The Canopy acted as a filter between the earth and the Sun.
The harmful Ultra-Violet Rays of the Sun were filtered by the Canopy. The Ultra-Violet Sun Rays (infrared) are the rays of the sun that produce radiations, sunburns, freckles, and skin cancer. Sun-Screen was unknown and unnecessary.
The climate and physical environment, prior to Noah’s flood, was similar to living in a hyperbaric chamber. The Canopy around the earth formed an encasement in which the Atmospheric Pressure would have been pressurized to about 32.05 pounds per square inch in order to support the atomic weight of such a Canopy. Researchers, like Dr. Henry Voss at the University of Illinois, were able to make this approximation. The Atmospheric Pressure, today, at sea level is 14.7 pounds per square inch.
Obviously, the heavier air pressure, before the Flood, would have been 2.18 times what it is, today, because of the atomic weight in the atmosphere weight. Air pressure, before the Flood, would have been 32.05 pounds per square inch as pointed out already.
It must be pointed out that with the high Atmospheric Pressure of 32.05 pounds per square inch would even provide Atmospheric Pressure for large reptiles with wings to fly. In West Texas, fossils of pterodactyl have been found with wing spans of fifty-two feet. As big and heavy as they were, they never could have flown with the lower Atmospheric Pressure that we have, today, of 14.7 pounds of pressure. The Canopy enabled earth’s atmosphere to maintain at the high rate of pressure.
The amazing fact concerning the Raqiya is that it was clearly transparent.
Many Creationist scientists believe the high barometric pressure would have allowed men to ride from place-to-place on these flying dinosaurs. God had given man dominion over “the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth” (Genesis 1:26).
6. Perfect Climate—No Extremes
In the splendid book, titled “Panorama of Creation,” are the findings on the research of the Pre-Flood conditions of the heaven and the earth by Dr. Carl Baugh and a team of Christian Scientists. On the subject of PPSI—Pounds Per Square Inch of the Atmospheric Pressure before Noah’s Flood, we will quote from Pages 55 and 56.
“Obviously, the heavier air pressure before the flood would have had a greater effect on plant and animal life than it has today. The ratio of oxygen in the atmosphere would have been about thirty percent, compared to twenty-one percent today. Dr. Edward F. Blick, professor of Aerodynamics and Nuclear Engineering at the University of Oklahoma, has concluded that due to the pre- flood atmospheric conditions, man could have run up to two hundred miles without suffering fatigue, because of the high ratio of oxygen. It has been discovered in hyperbaric medical chamber experiments that under these circumstances, an open wound would heal overnight. It is therefore understandable how a man could have lived to be several hundred years old, even after the fall, in this pre-flood world. Heavier air pressure and more oxygen in the atmosphere were conducive to longer life.
“Another factor in the pre-flood environment which was in man’s favor was less radiation from the sun. The Canopy above the earth acted as a filter to trap most short-wave radiation. It is the short-wave radiation that is causing man many problems today. Ultraviolet radiation is streaming down at an alarming rate. The Environment Protection Agency has announced that in a matter of decades, one out of every three persons will die of cancer due to increased ultraviolet radiation. would have filtered out by the water Canopy.”
DAYS OF NOAH
In our last study, we reached the time of the Days of Noah. During the days of Noah, the LORD had “repented” that He had made man because of the fact that their thoughts were evil continually. The “sons of God” showed up in the Days of Noah. They took the fair daughters of men and impregnated them. The males born to the “daughters of men” grew to be giants (the Nephilims). The Bible doesn’t tell us whether or not the union between the fallen angels and “daughters of men” produced female offspring. Or, were the off-spring only males? However, I would think they generated little girls who probably grew to be large women but not as large as their brothers.
The Godly culture existed FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE CREATION until the Days of Noah. The offspring, who were generated by the fallen angels and the daughters of men, overturned the originally established Godly culture. How did they corrupt the whole world? The offspring of the fallen angels corrupted the world by normalizing the abnormal, which is to say, the angels taking the daughters of men as their wives and producing a progeny of hybrid beings (half angel and half human). The Nephilims were wicked. Immorality abounded because of their wickedness.
“And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually” (Genesis 6:5).
The word for “wickedness” meant, “breaking up all that was good; and moral depravity.” During the Days of Noah, there was a tremendous proliferation of Nephilims. The human race became, totally, an admixture of humans and fallen angels.
“And it repented the LORD that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him at His heart. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth Me that I have made them” (Genesis 6:6-7).
The whole human race’s DNA was corrupted with that of the Nephilims. Because of the lewdness of all of the progeny of the Giants, all people were contaminated with their evil character.
God instructed Noah how to build an Ark, to save seven pairs of every clean animal and a male and female of every unclean beast. Noah and the seven members of his family were to be saved in the Ark from the universal flood.
WAS THE LORD UNJUST IN DESTROYING EVERY MAN?
It is often asked how many people were destroyed by the Universal Flood in Noah’s Day? I don’t know how many. I do know that every man, woman, and child who were alive when the Flood came all perished in it.
The numbers vary from student to student, from teacher to teacher, and from scholar to scholar. I have read one account which said one billion died, another said twenty million died. By far, the largest number I saw was from a Word Press web site, and they figured the number who perished was ten trillion (www.godlikeproductions.com).
In my opinion, I would say that the number is not the issue as to whether or not the LORD was Unjust. Those who He destroyed were not the creatures He created. The whole of mankind were corrupted except seven members of Noah’s family. Only eight humans were pure creatures of His creation. All of the rest were hybrids ─ a mixture of humans and angels. Those who died were not truly men (as in mankind). These were crossbreeds whose thoughts were only evil continually. After the Flood, God started all over, again, with Noah and his family.

PART IV
I believe the year was 1982 when I ordered a series of audio-cassette tapes which were produced by “The Southwest Radio Church” of Bethany, Oklahoma. They turned out to be one of the most revolutionary studies of The Creation that I had ever studied. The cassette tapes, and my visit to their museum, led to my wholesale rejection of many of the standard, fundamental doctrines I had been taught. I became steadfast in my acceptance of the Six Days of The Creation as the Bible presents it. I was enlightened to the fact that Darwin’s Theory of Evolution played a role in changing some important Christian Doctrines. Many Christian leaders were stunned in 1859 with the publication of Darwin’s “Origin of the Species.” They had to compromise the Scripture’s account of Creation by inventing, out of “whole-cloth,”—The Gap Theory. We have already pointed out there WAS NO GAP IN GOD’S CREATION.
The nationwide radio program aired a series of Bible studies. The tapes were titled “Panorama of Creation” by Dr. Carl Baugh. He is the founder of Creation Evidences Museum in Glen Rose, Texas. I had studied enough Bible and enough of evolutionary “science falsely so-called” that not long into the first cassette, I knew I was listening to a presentation of Biblical truth. I got a view of Creation that I had never heard of, and it made profound sense to me. The view was—not multiple billions of years as the evolutionists teach.
Gloria and I visited the Creation Evidences Museum in Glen Rose, Texas (about 65 miles southwest of Dallas) in March of 1991. We were the only two visitors there that day. This provided us with all the attention the two Attendants could provide us (this is my term for want of their proper title). The Founder, Carl Baugh, was not there that day. Every question we asked was answered satisfactorily. I held back my one question that I thought would “leave them holding the bag” if the Museum was a hoax. Everything that I perceived to be the Bible standards for Creation were met and exceeding all that I had anticipated. I found no reason to doubt the “Panorama of Creation” as we were told. The two Attendants showed us every bit of evidence we asked for.
We were shown footprints of people who, evidently, were running to higher ground as the deluge of rains came [Noah’s Flood]. The prints were made by bare feet. The Museum had had a number of Creationists working with them. Some were Christian anthropologists and paleontologists. Several well-known physicists who were retired from NASA contributed their expertise to a number of projects associated with “From The Beginning of The Creation” undertaking.
The footprints were extremely large by today’s foot size. These sizes were representative of men who were between 7 and 9 feet tall. An interesting fact is that the footprints of women were identified by the shape of the female’s heel (I never knew the woman’s heel was slightly different than the man’s heel). These human footprints were found in the locale adjacent to the Paluxy River which runs through an area where the Creation Evidences Museum is located. They were found in the limestone formation.
Finally, I asked the question that I thought, if they were a fraud, this would reveal their “scam.” I framed my question around a Biblical fact: “There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that…” (Genesis 6:4). “In those days” referred to the days of Noah when “the Flood” began, “and also after that” meant there were giants on earth “after that,” i.e., the Flood.
Afterward, I asked, “Do you have any evidence of giants on earth before the flood?” The Attendants laughed and said, “Yes we do.” Then, to my surprise, they proceeded to show us the giants’ footprints which the Museum had discovered along the banks of the Paluxy River. Not only that, the footprints of the giant humans were along side of dinosaurs’ paw-prints, as well as claw-prints of flying dinosaurs.
It should be acknowledged that the work and studies of Carl Baugh Ph.D., founder and Director of “Creation Evidences Museum” in Glen Rose, Texas, have given me a greater understanding of the Biblical model of creation. Dr Baugh’s comprehension of the Pre-Flood condition of the world has been most enlightening.
But, the sad commentary of Dr. Baugh’s view of Creation is that the Establishment’s Gatekeepers oppose the view of a recent creation dating between 10,000 B.C. to 4,000 B.C. The “Young Earth Theory” is an affront to Christian orthodoxy who felt the need to accommodate the Darwinian Theory of evolution by inventing the “Gap Theory.” In spite of their opposition, this view is now believed by many Christian Creationists. In these studies, I have not tried to give the scientific, cosmological, or astrophysical answers to the Pre-Flood conditions. I recommend you search the Museum’s web site, for yourself, in order to see the supporting scientific data.
Every Discipline, whether it be Entertainment, History, Medicine, the Catholic Church, Politics, Government, Sociology, Sports, Anthropology, Religion, and Christian Orthodoxy, has their own set of Gatekeepers. The Christian “Gatekeepers” of whom many either compromise with, or subscribe to the devilish Theory of Evolution by changing Biblical facts to fit in with their Creation and Re-Creation Theory—officially named the “Gap Theory.” Old-timers call this position the “ruin-reconstruction.” God created the world and a race of pre-adamic-men. God destroyed this creation [RUIN] and re-creation [RECONSTRUCTION] of the present world system. This is a real slab of BALONEY!
There is a very vocal, cruel, and vicious set of Gatekeepers. Their job is to protect the “Ruin-reconstruction” theory from being denigrated. This theory must not be over-turned. It will over-turn too many “tables of the money changers.” Too many important Christians will be exposed that their ministry is built upon sifting sand. The Gap Theory, aka, the Ruin-Re-Constructionist Gatekeepers have pulled out all the stops trying to ruin the reputation of Dr. Carl Baugh. From what I have noted, the Gatekeepers no longer attack the significant features of FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE CREATION but, now, have launched a full-fledged attack on the person of Carl Baugh, himself, which is character assassination! This is always the final page in the Devil’s Play Book of Gatekeepers—when all else fails; “Kill or destroy the messenger.” They haven’t had to use this final play as yet.
The Gatekeepers in Israel, about 28-30 A.D., gave up on trying to disprove that the miracles of Jesus Christ were frauds. The miracles were His Credentials as positive proof that He was the Messiah. So, they had to slander the man’s character—he was born of fornication--his father was Joseph, the carpenter. He was referred to as being a winebibber, gluttonous, a friend of publicans and sinners. Slander didn’t work. So, the Gatekeepers (i.e., the Pharisees) turned to the last play in their Play Book, to wit, the killing of the Messenger. They saw to it that He was crucified. The crucifixion didn’t solve their problem with Jesus of Nazareth. Three days later, He arose from the dead.
Today’s Gap Theory Gatekeepers have given up trying to disprove the “Young Age of the Earth” Truth. So, they are trying their best to destroy the reputation of Carl Baugh Ph.D.

PART V
“FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE CREATION,” we can point back to the history of God’s Creation as it is found in Genesis Chapter One.
THE FIRMAMENT OR THE RAQIYA
Our focus, for now, will be on the “Firmament” which is Raqiya (# 7554) in the O.T. - which means to beat, to stamp, to beat out, to spread out, to stretch (“Brown Driver & Briggs Hebrew Lexicon”). Or, as the “Gesenius’ Hebrew-Chaldee Lexicon to the Old Testament;” (1) to beat, to strike (2) to spread out by beating, and simply to spread out e.g. God the earth Ps. 136:6; Isa.42:5; 44:24 (3) to tread down 2 Sam. 22:43. to spread out by beating, as a thin plate, hence to overlay with a thin plate Isa. 40:19 to spread out with a hammer Jer. 10:9. To spread out heaven Job. 37:18.”
Notice the occurrences of “Firmament” in Genesis 1:6-8:
6 And God said, Let there be a firmament [raqiya] in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
7 And God made the firmament [raqiya], and divided the waters which were under the firmament [raqiya] from the waters which were above the firmament [raqiya]: and it was so.
8 And God called the firmamen [raqiya] Heaven. And the evening and the
morning were the second day.
The wording in these verses are extraordinarily challenging with the phrases such as—in the midst of waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters which were under …; divided the waters which were above …
The creating of the Raqiya must have been of immense importance in God’s mind and purpose because this act of creation took almost the entire Second Day. The objective of the Raqiya was to separate the waters on the earth from the waters above it. The waters, mentioned, formed a “bubble-like” creation.
I have examined Verses 6 and 7 every which way I could in an effort to be able to explain them to you, and others, in plainer words. The Scope and Context of the word was heavily considered. Over twenty Bible versions were checked-out; several Lexicons were examined, and a number of web sites were researched. The “Firmament” according to “Gesenius’ Hebrew and Chaldee Lexicon of the Old Testament” is Strong’s # 7549 which stems from its root # 7554; “Raqiya is the of heaven, spread out like a hemisphere above the earth like a splendid and pellucid sapphire. The stars were supposed to be fixed, and over which the Hebrews believed there was a heavenly ocean (Gen. 1:7; 7:11; Ps. 104:3; 148:4).” The root # 7554 says, “( 1 ) TO BEAT, TO STRIKE the earth with the feet, as in indignation, Eze. 6:11; in exultation Eze. 25:6. ( 2 ) to spread out by beating, and simply, to spread out, e.g. God the earth, Ps. 136:6; Isa. 42:5; 44:24 (Syr. To make firm, to found). ( 3 ) to tread down, 2 Sam. 22:43. Hence, to overlay with a thin plate. To spread out with a hammer. Plural thin plates.”
The “Earth” was formed out of elements of water—two-parts hydrogen and one-part oxygen. Not only that, but Genesis 1:9-10 clearly declared that God created dry land (i.e. EARTH) out of water. Ponder that fact, turn it over in your mind—God created the Earth and its granite crust out of WATER. As I write this, I am compelled to shout for joy at the AWESOMENESS of our Great God. Excuse me, I’ve settled down, now, and will try to continue. I investigated the words and their meanings in Genesis 1:6-7. The following words showed up: vault, canopy, expanse, vapors, like a hemisphere with thin skin or membrane, and like a transparent bubble.
The Biblical context obviously included two amalgamated layers of water, and God made a firmament in the midst of the waters. It divided the waters from the waters. Based upon my perception, I would suggest you visualize the Earth and its Canopy floating on the air. Envision a 12 year old boy blowing bubbles in his back yard. You noticed one bubble which was extremely large with what looked like a marble encircled in the Canopy. Now, imagine you seeing the marble suspended mid-way in the middle of the bubble. In this imaginary scenario, the marble represents the Earth of Genesis One. The bubble represented the “Raqiya” of Day Two of the Creation. The waters under heaven were turned into dry land. This dry land was the Earth, and it was enclosed in the “Raqiya.”
Within this mammoth Canopy (a transparent bubble), the Earth was created. According to the model projected by the researchers of the Creation Evidences Museum at Glen Rose, Texas, the bubble would have been located approximately eleven miles above the surface of the earth (in circumambiency). One mile is 5,280 feet. Eleven miles above the earth’s surface would be 58,080 feet. At this altitude, scientists say that there is a “heat-sink” whose temperature registers between a minus 130 degrees to a minus 180 degrees Fahrenheit. The water at this altitude would be frozen solid as a crystal—clear and transparent. The frozen water has the quality as if they were pounded out with hammers into thin metal sheets or plates. This idea is resident in the Hebrew word, “raqiya,” according to Gesenius’ Lexicon.
The Firmament (Raqiya) was created and in place at the end of the Second Day of the Creation (Genesis 1:6-8). It was a key factor to the moderate climate which the Earth enjoyed for 1656 years; it existed under the protection of the Firmament (Raqiya). God was fed-up with the wickedness in which the inhabitants of earth were practicing. The sin of the “sons of God” reached its zenith during the “Days of Noah” (1 Peter 3:20, 2 Peter 3:6). The “sons of God” (the fallen angels) spread their evil, in part, by taking the daughters of men to wife and producing a hybrid being (Nephilim) who was the embodiment of evil. These offspring were giants, mighty men, men of renown—monsters of iniquity, super-human in size, strength, and character. They were the one and only object of the Flood.
“And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart” (Genesis 6:5-6).
The LORD told Noah to enter the ark he had built. Noah, his wife, his three sons (Shem, Ham and Japheth) and Noah’s three daughters-in-law boarded the ark as did all of those creatures Noah was to bring with him. We are told in Genesis 7:14-15; “they (Noah’s family) and every beast after his kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and every fowl after his kind, every bird of every sort. And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life.”
God spoke and the Earth melted (Psalm 46:6). And “the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened” (Genesis 7:11). And it rained forty days and forty nights—the waters were upon the Earth 150 days after the rains stopped (Genesis 7:24). Mountains emerged from the shifting of the continental plates, and the rushing of the Flood waters sculptured the whole Earth’s surface.
Here’s the explanation of the mechanism for the Flood. When God uttered His Voice (Psalm 46:6), it was spoken with astounding intensity. His voice was that of a great explosion which disrupted the design-balance within the earth. The Old Testament word for “melted” is “muwg (moog)” (#4127). “It means to melt, to flow down, to soften:” Strong’s definition. For the earth to melt, much of it would become lava.
“God uttered His voice and the earth melted” (Psalm 46:6). A literal thermonuclear meltdown ensued from the consequential imbalance. The Results were: (1) The violent release of energy caused the waters in the Great Deep to heat and rupture the granite crust of the earth, (2) The force and velocity of the hot water breaks the windows in the Firmament, and (3) The Firmament collapses into rain, snow, and sleet. Mountain upthrust is a natural succession of these events as the violent continental granite shelves upon itself. (“Panorama of Creation” Page 84, by Carl Baugh).
COMMENTS ON THE CATASTROPHY IN PLAINER WORDS
The analysts have shown that within the earth’s crust, an internal explosion split the Continental Shelf (like an egg in a microwave oven). Hot water spewed upwards of over 58,000 feet—thus, melting the crystalline Canopy, and it fell as rain. With the Canopy gone, there was a drastic change in the Earth’s temperature. As the Canopy melted, much of it turned to snow and sleet in what is now known as the Regions of the Arctic and Antarctica. It froze, in-place, all creatures—man and beast—in those two regions. Whole elephants have been uncovered which were buried alive in the ice storms of the melt-down. Many of these dead (frozen) elephants have been uncovered in the area of Siberia.
The scalding, hot water would have had no problem spewing 58,000 feet into the air, thus, collapsing the ice Canopy. About thirty years ago, a volcano named Mount Saint Helens, in Washington, erupted. Its explosion sent smoke, ash, and debris to a measured altitude of 113,000 feet.
The crystalline Canopy, created on Day Two, was supported by “pillars” of atmospheric pressure. Before the Flood, the atmospheric pressure was 32.05 pounds per square inch. Sea level pressure, today, is 14.7 pounds per square inch. Researchers have been able to approximate the atomic weight of such a canopy and its consequences upon the atmospheric pressure. The heavier air pressure, before the Flood, was the supportive force to keep the Canopy in place at its altitude of eleven miles from the earth. The heavier the pounds per square inch was the result of a greater content of oxygen in the atmosphere.
Moses wrote in Genesis 7:21-24:
21 And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man:
22 All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died.
23 And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.
24 And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days.
FIRMAMENT ENHANCED GOOD HEALTH AND INCREDIBLE LONGEVITY
The Firmament filtered out all of the harmful sun-rays—such as the ultra-violet rays. This contributed to the longevity of the Antediluvians. The high oxygen content in the air surrounding the Earth resulted in a type of semi-hyperbaric environment which enhanced the healing of wounds and injuries. Some believe that under such an environment, the loss of limbs could have been re-grown.
Without the Firmament, mankind has suffered a great deal from cancers which are associated without ultra-violet sun-ray exposure. Good health, ever since the loss of the Canopy, has been wanting. Much more should be said in this dissertation, but space doesn’t allow it.
A CONCISE TEXT OF TRACES OF NOAH’S FLOOD
How many times have we been in awe, whether we were viewing the Grand Canyon, the Royal Gorge, Pikes Peak, a sunset at Gulf Shores, Alabama, or a view of the Great Smokey Mountains, from the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the Peaks of Otter. Consider the breath-taking vistas of Niagara Falls, or Lookout Mountain, or the Mighty Mississippi River. Certainly, we will not leave out the Swiss Alps, These are just a few of what we refer to as the beauty of Nature’s wonders. Now, reflect on two imaginary characters as they ponder the beauty of Nature as they drive away from Cripple Creek, Colorado.
Paxton pointed down the road, and said, “Clint, in about a half a mile, there is a turnoff, an observation area. Let's pull over there. I will try to answer your Creation question.”
As they turned into the lookout area, a sign stated that the elevation was 7442 feet above sea level. Two other vehicles were parked in the observation lookout. They pulled away from them and parked parallel to a granite wall which was used as a guardrail. They exited the GMC Jimmy. The low granite wall became their perch. Legs swinging over the side, they inspected the vertiginous panorama. Far below was a silver ribbon; the river winding its way through a verdant valley. The mountain far across the valley was beginning to turn hues of brown, yellow, orange, and red. Closer to the valley floor, the trees still clung to their lush greens. The beauty was breath-taking.
“Clint,” Paxton somberly said, “the beauty we are beholding is not the beauty and magnificence of God's creation. What we're gazing at is the result of the time when God spoke, and the earth melted. These majestic Rocky Mountains are the result of His judgment. When the door to the ark was closed behind Noah, God spoke, and the seams in the earth exploded, the windows of heaven opened, the Canopy melted, and rain poured upon the earth for forty days and forty nights." Paxton lifted his arms out over the valley, with his palms up, adding; “and what we now behold is the result of God's judgment.”
Both men sat in awe for a few minutes.
